Founded in 1856, the aim of the National Portrait Gallery, London is ‘to promote through the medium of portraits the appreciation and understanding of the men and women who have made and are making British history and culture, and … to promote the appreciation and understanding of portraiture in all media’.
The Gallery holds the most extensive collection of portraits in the world. The Collection is displayed in London and in a number of locations around the United Kingdom, including several houses managed by the National Trust.
The Collection and special exhibitions are supported by the National Portrait Gallery shop located at the gallery and online for customers who would like to own products inspired by the exhibitions. The shop sells everything from books, prints and stationery to jewellery, fine china and scarves.
“We took on Rumour PR to help promote our shop and online sales. They achieved this during the particularly busy and competitive Christmas season and we are really pleased with the coverage they generated. Rumour also helped with our recent book launch and implemented a creative campaign which helped to reach a new market. We very much enjoy working with the team at Rumour PR.”
